Charity Automate is distributed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later. This applies to plugin code and components distributed under GPL terms.
What the GPL allows
- Use the software for any purpose.
- Study and modify the source code.
- Share original or modified copies.
- Share modified versions under the GPL.
Subscription and third-party terms
The licence does not remove the need for a valid account or subscription where hosted services, support or licensing checks are required. Connected components and services, including WordPress, Beacon CRM, SendGrid, OpenRouter and Stripe, have their own terms.
To the extent permitted by law, the software is provided without warranty. Test workflows carefully and keep appropriate backups.
Use at your own responsibility
The plugin is supplied as-is and without a promise that it will meet your organisation’s requirements or operate without interruption or error. You are responsible for installing, configuring, testing, monitoring and using it, including every task, workflow, template, prompt, integration and output created through it.
GPL rights to modify and redistribute the code remain unaffected. Modified, forked or unofficial versions are not official Charity Automate releases and are used entirely at the user’s risk. Support, updates, security assurances and any service warranty do not extend to changes outside the official release.
No responsibility for workflow outcomes
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Charity Automate is not liable for anything the software or a workflow does or fails to do that negatively affects you, your organisation, your supporters, your data or another person. This includes CRM changes, emails, documents, AI-generated content, webhooks, duplicate or missed actions, data loss, service interruptions and failures or changes by connected providers. Mandatory legal liabilities and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
